Dave Jennis testified as an expert witness on attorneys’ fees in a case pending before the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County, Circuit Civil Division. The opposing counsel Trenam Law had sought to quash motions for attorney’s fees.

Bankruptcy News

Self-Insured New Jersey Health Plan files Chapter 11 over COVID payouts. From the Wall Street Journal, Affiliated Physicians and Employers Master Trust filed after receiving notification that assistance from the State of New Jersey would not reimburse the company.

Bankruptcy filings are down. The Wall Street Journal reports year over year filings nationally were down to levels not seen since 1985 due to Federal stimulus programs. Florida Middle District Chief Judge Delano indicated Middle District filings were down over 30% compared to last year.

Investment Notes
